WOOOOHOOOO :smt003

I camped near Solano Beach the same weekend the swimmer was killed by the shark. Life guards chased us off the water and wouldn't let us paddle any further. Drove down to La Jolla after that caught a nice WSB. Shark warning signs at La Jolla Shore also but launch anyways. Not a lot of people swimming that weekend or traffic on the water.

Me too, tho you didn't look too scared heading back out solo for an afternoon at Shelter Cove!  :smt002

I was completely freaked out by the thought of sharks when I first started paddling on the ocean, but the more you paddle the easier it is to place your faith in statistics.

To say I was freaked out at shelter cove would be an understatement. However, My obsession with fishing is greater and more irrational than my great and irrational fear of sharks.
