rofl, I have caught lots of fish close to the boat like that too.  Never really occurred to me to try not even bother casting.

I bet he spooks 3-4 fish for every fish he lands.  Lotta missed strikes also.

looks like it could possibly be an effective method, but it looks like once the fish hits you

just hold up the rod and they're in the boat.  To me it looks too much like tournament bass

fishing, just get em in quick with no real fight
Everybody should have the opportunity to fish

Yes.

More work than the regular way, but it is something different.  Felt like when I was a kid using just pole and line.

Took out the reel after a while to lighten the weight.

Kind of difficult doing it in a hand paddled kayak.

thats nuts, i've NEVER caught a LM with a buzzbait. id still much rather drop shot or walk the dog.
