i launched at golden gate fields about noon, quickly caught 10 little stripers on rattletraps. however the fish were very small so i paddled over to richmond to try some of my favorite spots. no fish there or in albany. i got back to where i started and caught 4 more, then the wind started howling so i called it around 3pm.

On Friday afternoon I launched off the little beach at the end of Buchanan street into some pretty choppy waves.  I trolled a little but realized that catching a fish in that breeze would be a tricky one . . .

I just moved up to north Berkeley so Albany's kind of the quickest access for a paddle.   Is the fishing actually good sometimes?  Should I be hitting the rock walls north of that launch?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated  :smt001

hey santiago, that albany landfill is a great place, i have wasted a lot of time there. the last 2 years the water adjacent to ggf has held the most fish. however i have had some epic fishing excursions in the albany mudflats, but none recently. call me i have info about the flats that i rather not print[due to the legality of it].510-760-0195.

If it has to do with trespassing for fishing purposes, there will be few qualms on my side :)
