Today I was to met up with another member and fish the south delta but had a car accident on the road.  Couple of days ago I had just installed my new clutch then placed everything back together and the car has been running fine since.  The day of the trip started out okay with gathering all gear into the car and then gassed up and went down the highway.  Just 2-3 miles before my exit turn I had come across a small bump which lifted my lowered car and then I felt a pop along with my steering wheel that went off mark like a quarter turn to the right.  I was like  :what and proceeded to move two lanes to the right then lowering my speed.  The car was driving fine for the moment and I knew part of my suspension piece was off.  Finally my exit turn was coming up and as I was making my way slowing down then slowed some more to the stop light crossing line.  Once I had turn the steering wheel to make my right turn the tie-rod-end off the rack and pinion popped out of the socket and I felt my passenger front just dropped.  My car was still kinda in the view where other drivers (big rigs) need to detoured their route.  Called the insurance company and they helped to call the local police and got me a towing truck the towed the car home 56 miles that ended up 195.00 (This part didn't matter to me anymore).  Frankly all I could think about was the whole ordeal couldn't happen any better then this.  Things could have happen worse before, during or after this event if I didn't go fishing today.  I'm one lucky guy and all as well with the car.

Glad things worked out, those situations are pretty hairy.

I like your way of looking at things.  Glad it turned out OK and no one got hurt.
