It's loaded with bass. Fished from 6-10am. Total seven bass including one 4-5lb spawned out largemouth and a monster 4lb fat mommy spot. All fish caught on wacky trick worms and carolina rigged brush hogs. I even had to paddle across from the launch ramp as the back side of Granite bay is closed. Picks for Adam and Jedmo.....

Tight lines!

i love folsom lake.  I live in orangevale, about 11 min away.  Usually hit lake natomas in the winter for trout, and folsom in the summer for bass.

Congrats on the fish.  Where did you hit most of them?  my favorite spot is the point directly across from beale's point

Nice job out there... looks like you beat the heat and the lake lice. The lake has been hit or miss for me... jury is still out on whether I hate it or not. All I can say is this... when the lake lice are out... watch out or head on in. Those bastards just about ran me over a few times... and I wasn't even close to the middle of the lake or anything...

I caught them off of the first point (at the end of where you used to be able to drive back to) near trees and transition points.

Things are good. We're busy right now but that can always change.

I don't hate Folsom Lake...its just that I have to pass the DELTA on the way up...and I just can't pass up the DELTA, can I???

Actually, I'd like to give it a try this summer on a weekday.  If you are free, let's hook up sometime!

Why I hate Folsom lake....

IF (and I mean a BIG IF) it has water you need to contend with lake lice and drunk power boaters neither of which observe the 5mph sections.  I would fish Folsom more if I was interested in bass.  The salmon and trout bite is mediocre.

I live in Folsom and fish the lake often. Early AM is generally the best. I fish mostly on the Browns Ravine side with about 80% success rate. When I can't figure out what the trout and salmon want, the bass are always fun to catch.
