.... by schoolies that is! :fish:

Took the day off from work since I'm maxed out on vacation and its use it or lose it, so I hit Disco this morning. I landed 6 stripers and lost 2 right at the boat. All were schoolies but I can't complain its Friday no work and I was on the river fishing. The line up of boats this morning was crazy, it put last weekends crowd to shame. I would have to say there was roughly 50 boats on the river from the I street bridge to Disco boat ramp. The shad and striper are definitely here it was non stop action all morning.

Nice work!

I rode by disco the other day and stopped at the pump station.  It was about 8:30 and I counted 24 boats on the water between the pump station and the confluence!

Maybe next week I'll have time to get out on the A somewhere (starting a business is murder on playtime!)

Stupid question but why are the boats in a perfect line.  I'd expect that they'd be a bit more spread out.  Are the lined up along a deep channel or shoal?

Nope  :smt012  I was waiting to finish off some stinky bait I had and then I was going to switch to some darts. Right about that time the jetski's, Power boats , and yacht's started rolling though so I called it a day. I was holding out for a decent striper for the BBQ this weekend but I probably should of tried earlier for some shad for the smoker.

Maybe next week I'll have time to get out on the A somewhere (starting a business is murder on playtime!)

Let me know if your going to hit the American.

I went to Bikefest at the Capitol on Thursday 5/21, then rode over to the pump and Disco.
I was at the pump around 12:45 and could see 21 boats lined up. Three boats closest to pump each landed a shad while I was standing there, all within 5 or 10 minutes. Fun to watch.

Thanks for the report...Al

They usually anchor along the color line. The Sac is muddy while the American runs clear.
There is a distinctive line in the water where they meet.
