Got asked again to do some fishing with my friend.  We paddle with our oars on his small 10ft fiberglass boat this morning.  Very intresting to see the first fish taking Mr worm.  I didn't bring my camera, but will try to see if I can take a pix permitted he hasn't cook it.  Anyway back to the first fish....Mr Whiskers 5-6lb catfish on a worm lure.  I didn't catch it however I thought it was a big bass after the splash and by my friend's bent rod.  This will have to go down in my books as something interesting I've ever witness in my lifetime of fishing.  The rest of the morning only I managed to catch a 16 inch spotted bass.
Maybe next time will try in the afternoon.

That's a nice size channel cat.  I can imagine it put up a good fight on light tackle.  Thanks for the report would appreciate if you post some pictures  :smt001

Sailfish here you go.  The fish didn't fight much for it was shallow water like 4 ft deep at the most.  The fish was just sitting on bottom and not coming up for 3 minutes top.

Bassmanben!  I you are correct.  After goggling pix of Channel catfish that's what it looks like to be.  Anyway my friend cooked the fish already but he was able to take some pix the day of the catch and that is why it took him a while to email me the pix.  He said it was 23 inches.
