A neighbor told me about this. I checked it out and thought it was awesome. Crazy but awesome. Has anyone done/seen this before?

There are more videos, check them out.

If you encounter a really large cat, you can suffer serious damage to an arm or, worse, drown. It's happened.

First heard and saw this dumb a$$ sport a few years back. Sure, I'm gonna stick my hands (gloved or not) into a submerged hole and hope that it's a giant kitty that clamps on and not a giant snapping turtle, pissed off snake or any other beast that can mess me up.... :smt011

I have known guys that noodled at lake berryessa but I think Clearlake would be better with more shallow water and bigger fish but then what do you do with a very large polluted fish :smt044

Seen it before on TV...& they weren't wearin' gloves or any other kind of protective clothing in the show I saw.
And HELL NO, you won't catch me rootin' around & stickin' my hands in murky underwater holes!  :smt009

Did it when I was a kid.  Fun. Exciting. And the best part is not knowing what to expect as some of the excursions were done at night.  It was the snakes swimming on top of the water that gave us the problem or should I saw the excitement.

I'd do it. Looks fun. But I'd wear a nice and tight wetsuit to keep out the leeches, not to mention gloves.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

I can't see it from work I have seen a couple on youtube with a bunch of models noodling they got some cats in the 20 lb range. Then there was a bunch of good old boys from down south which got some fish. I think the models were more fun to watch. :smt003

As yakers, we do some crazy stuff too :smt003 Going out in the open ocean in 12-15' paddle plastic boats would probably seem crazier for these guys. I would like to try it though, with the right gear.
