Unemployment Insurance Extended Benefits?

I was just wondering if anyone has received and extention on their unemployment  benefits, and could tell me what the process for extending them is.  Is there an interview?  On the edd web site it says that the department will file the extension claim for you.  If anyone has went through this and could give me (and other norcal kayakers) a heads up it would be really appreciated.  Thanks

  I haven't got that far yet, but, this Friday comming up is my last day! If I haven't had any bites before then, I'll be signing up the following Monday. I too have some interest in this topic.
