The American fishes ok for Shad as well. Super easy water (and kayak) access at Watt, Gristmill and Howe. Not so easy, but AFAIK, free access at Paradise Beach. Bring your roleez for that one though, as last time I was there, it was a good couple hundred yards to the river. It was a pain in the shoulder to carry the SIK, paddle, rod etc...

Scott

Hojoman -  thanks for the other suggested spots.   Now that Rd 48 is closed to the public, finding a good spot is half the challenge.

Hi Lawrence. I may have some bad news about the Princeton access area and the other road access. I was told by friends that it was indeed Road 48 that we used to go to. I wonder why access via the road was closed, unless it is also a trash issue.

The Princeton access road at the rear of the trailer park/junk yard is now closed, with a locked gate, because the land owner got tired of people who used the road and area by the river and left trash all over the place. The owner is supposedly selective about who he give access to.
