According to their website and the recording on their direct number, Limekiln is currently closed to ALL uses.

yes Lk is closed until probably mid to late 09 at the earliest, and probably later than that.  Here is an email I received from the rangers when I asked about this last winter.

"Limekiln Park is currently closed due to fire damage earlier this summer.  While the campground and historic kilns were spared fire damage, the surrounding canyon hillsides were denuded of vegetation, and park trails were severely damaged with tree fall and rock slides.  Foot and vehicle bridges within the park have been removed in anticipation of mud slides and flood damage.  I anticipate the park to remain closed through 2009, although we will be reassessing the possibility of reopening the park for limited use perhaps by summer, 2009, depending on the extent of storm damage this season as well as the fiscal restrictions our department may face in the near future.

The park is closed at the highway entrance to foot traffic as well as vehicle access, primarily for visitor safety.  The trail to the Limekilns Falls was the hardest hit and will probably not be reopened until 2010, at the earliest, due to rock fall hazard."

Yep, Do a search I brought this up a couple weeks ago.The lower bridge at LK has been completely removed to prevent debris buildup after the Chalk fire.We can only access the Cape via a long paddle from Mill Creek to the south. :smt010
