My son and I launched in the rain around 930 am. The water was rough and the rain was pouring. We found a sheltered spot by the glass house. It was his first time to ab/spearfish. I was concerned he would not be comfortable in the water.

I was suprised that he didn't show any hesitation. I stayed out for a couple of hours and he didn't want to come in when I was done. I think I have a good dive partner. He got all three of his abs without help. I saw one perch the entire time and the vis was only about 5 feet because we were in a shallow cove. Some of the divers in 30' said the vis was about 15'.
Everybody dies, not everybody lives. What did you do today?

Rough sea and rain.  Yet he wanted to be out there.  Yup. You can say you have someone who would stay there with you when the going gets tough.  Nice feeling.
