I havnt fished it in a while, but used to go a lot, its free, camp anywhere, no gas for sale so it keeps the PBs at bay, and it can be fishy. The only drag is it gets windy as hell, especially this time of year, if you fish it, you better get out while its still dark cause it picks up quick.

Hahah ya on the 31st day in the month of December between the hours of 9:00am-9:01 am...

Fishing during the day in the summer months it can be a zoo with PB's especially on the weekend.

I go there a couple of times a year and if your going to fish it you've got to get up early or fish late in the evening. Fishing during the day your either battling the boats or the wind. Can't complain for free though! Bring a shade canopy

Here's a couple of pictures.

Thanks for the replies/pictures.  I only live about 1-1/2 hours south of the reservoir and I went their a couple of weeks ago just to check it out.  At that time it looked like the perfect yak lake with some killer areas for bass and panfish.  I guess I caught it on a great weekend because I only saw maybe 5-6 boats all weekend and no wind.  Obviously its early in the year and I can see how popular this lake would be for kids camping and skiing.

The boats dont go all the time there because there are no gas facilities on the reservoir, they have to bring it all in themselves, you see a lot of them just sitting cause they dont want to blow their gas-wad. So its not as crazy as Berr. or even Mendo, but like everywhere, come beer-thirty, its the redneck riviera.
Theres great structure by the dam, its 100 years old, and Ive also heard the fishing is better on the west side.

Been there many times.  It gets HOT in the summer.

Caught many catfish and bass there in coves and in the weeds on the south side.

Watch out for the jet skis playing soccer.
