Foothill fishing Saturday and Sunday

I went to a local lake for a conditioning paddle (this lake has a bad fishing rep).  I pulled two rapalas since I can not stand to be on my kayak without a line in the water.  To my surprise I caught 7 rainbows within 2 hours (largest was 16in).

I will be going to the same spot this weekend if anyone would like to join.

Sly Park?????

I will be staying close to Auburn.  I have never fished sly park, is it any good?

Have plans on Sat, unless it rains, but might be interested on Sun. Where is this place? Rollins, Clemintine, Englebright, Collins. Saw a  couple yaks on Collins on Sat as I was catching several trout 2 plus pounds from an an old POS 1959 boat. Saw some 5's also.

That's why I guessed Sly Park.
It usually sucks until smallie season, and right now is smallie season.
Not sure how things will be with the weather change approaching.

This lake does not get planted and has low fishing pressure, so I am not too keen on shouting it for the lurkers.  I am however happy to take people fishing there.

Can't hit it yet but sometime in the pretty near future. Still a bit on the mend.

If it's dry on Sat I'll be at the race track. If it rains I'll be at home doing some remodel work. Sat may work though. Sun should be open and would love to hit the water with someone other than myself. Shoot me a pm with the required gear, location and time. Rob
