Nice ab. I'm still looking for my 10" ab. I'll keep my eyes open near sand.LOL! We dove at Van Damme on Saturday and got limits within 20 minutes. Diving buddy forgets the fins so we didn't venture out too far. F&G glassing the divers.

Nice!  I was thinking after my first dive for abs that getting only 2 actually didn't bother me so much.  I still have 11 more trips if I look at it that way.  Thanks for the report.  JTF

Abalone do move. If the 9.5 was starving in the cave it would have moved to greener pastures. I have seen a video of a friend of mine in Petaluma hand feeding a small abalone on a night dive. Amazing footage. This is while it was moving. He also filmed at night abalone moving not at a snails pace but actually much faster than I would have ever thought possible. I will try to get him to download on this site. Craig

Yup, I saw a little ab on the Doran Jetty crawling around and it was moving about as fast as a starfish. I had no idea they could move that "fast".

Awesome ab, Dave!
