This post is coming from the hotel room. With some time on my hands I figured I'd get it up ASAP. I spent the weekend in So Cal (Ventura) with the in laws. Since they are more interested in seeing their new grand daughter I was able to get two days of fishing in (Sat and Sun). The sun was shinning but had a steady wind blowing 15-20mph on the other side of the break wall (waves were breaking over the wall which is a good 15 feet high). So I spent both days inside the harbor searching for a few bites. I tossed swim baits into the kelp hooping for some rock fish or barred sand bass...NO LOVE. I trolled for Hali's....NO LOVE. I managed two croakers (a new species for me!) drifting squid. I got a ton of bites but I just couldn't get more then two to stay buttoned.

With the wind up there was a small shore break so I was able to practice some beach launch and landings all were successful! Although I watched one lady eat S#!T trying to land. Total yard sale and she was in full street clothes. Only damage was to her pride. Here are the fish pics.

Rhyak, fingers crossed it lays down for you on Monday.

Mooch/Aquan fish count is 14.
