I'm working from 9-12 at China camp next Thursday and thought it would be a good chance to do some fishing over there. Anybody know if the stripers or halibut are happening right now?
 Thanks,
 Andrew

You should definitely find some stripers out there... try around Rat Rock or south toward McNears / Brickyard / Sisters.

The China Camp area is generally not a prime spot for Halibut... so I'd focus on the stripers.

Speaking of fishing in SF Bay.  Can someone tell me if the terms for places rat rock the sisters etc are on a map or are these sites fisherman named sites, and if so could someone provide a tutorial on what sites are where?  I know this is sort of taboo.  That's why we name things differently than a map, but between fisherman is there a way to find out.

The best thing you can do is get a fishing map from "Fish-n-Map" company... many of the local bait/tackle shops sell them.

Yes... Rat Rock / Sisters / Brothers / Brickyard... etc. are all listed on these maps.

Any advice on how to fish this area? Should I troll, cast, drift bait? Anything else on the whats/wheres/whens/hows would be greatly appreciated.
 Thanks!
