Hit the north end of the lake this morning around 9:00 to find beautiful conditions, no wind !!  fished till 4:30 for six fish to around 5lbs. Very nice fish fat and healthy getting ready to spawn. Hooked all fish on senkos, fished jigs and swimbaits also for nada. Conditions were better than I had hoped it was around 25 degrees at my house this morning. So no need for an early start. This lake is ready to bust open for some great fishing with artificials in the very near future. I also got to break in my new Hawg Trough.

thanks for the solid report Craig. I wanted to get out on the southend today but fatigue forced me into a recovery day for work tommorrow.
I would have been slinging the same combo. Its so hard to focus on the big swimbait tactics when the senko is so much fun and so productive.
Looks like you were south of Rodmans?

While hunting hawgs of the hooved variety on saturday I was thinking how the weather was too nice for pigs and better suited for bass at Rodman. I was wishin' I had gone fishin' with you instead!
It all worked out, I got some good cardio hiking in and you got yourself an upgrade.
Talk to you later...
