Just got home from kayaking Negro Bar. My son-in-law is training for a triathlon and wanted to do a swim. I was his safety boat. He swam for 35 min in the 48.6 degree water...brrr.

After that I grabbed my fishing gear and trolled up the canyon to the sign. Lost a Speedy-Shiner to a snag. Got back to the ramp before the rain started. Nice paddle, but no fish. I'll post some pics later.

Nice report and pics.

I also tried Natoma yesterday afternoon.  Fished from Negro Bar to the sign from 2:00 to 7:00.  No fish either, just lots of rain.

Hey Sashimi/Brandon,

It's Rob from Dokken. Didn't know you were down here (valley that is). How's things at Youngdahl?

Go to Folsom this week. Don't go today. Got blown off the water badly. Wait till it's warm and no wind. Drive all the way back in to Beals Point and drag roboworms in 5' - 15' of water or fish a wacky with a smidge of weight.

We'll have to get together one of these evenings after work.
