Just caught a 20in shaker on a dead fresh shiner.  2 live ones left.

"Shaker on a Shiner for Shicken!"   :smt003

It's cool to know someone's yakfishing right now and even cooler to know they're uploading for the rest of us to experience it too.   :smt001

Started off a bit breezy, now flat calm.  Spotted some bait coming up to surface in one area.  Drifted through there w/o a bite.

The hi-tech generation of yakfishing is here.  The next thing we need is the GPS location of where you caught the fish  :smt003  Thanks for the "live" report  :smt001

Nice going Shicken! Yet another member posting for the benefit of all of us sitting around wishing we were there.   :smt006 Hope you get the one you are looking for. Great Intel. All we need now is a live satellite feed.

Thanks for the report,
Ray

that already exists and seems popular with the teen set.  They can see where their friends are.  Would be like waving a hi tech landing though :smt044

I got my shiners from Oyster pt. baitshop.  There are also lots of smelt in the area.  Water clarity is good.

Only action was the 20in shaker around 930am.  Caught it between the pier and harbor entrance.  There was a long period where there was basically no drift.  No wind and very little current..  I should have switched to trolling there, but I felt lazy.  Headed in at noon, just before the wind came up.

I overhead a PB-er say a boat had 9 halibut wednesday, and 8 of those 9 were caught at 3pm on wednesday.

Tides look good in the mornings in the coming days.

First try for the halibut and catching a shaker is way better than not catching
anything at all. It took me 4 tries till I finally caught my very first trout on the
kayak. I hope you post another hookup next week. I'd like to come along.
