Well, thanks to everyone's help I finally made the launch from Bolinas. Calm water, no problem navigating the break at the mouth, though I suspect it can be formidable. Paddled the long haul out to the green buoy and joined a small fleet. Trolled three hours for nada. Saw one salmon caught, talked to someone else who got one. It was slow. Watched folks come and go from Rocky Pt.; nothing there either. Couldn't wait around for the afternoon bite, had to go to work. Five hours of non-stop hard paddling and I am one sore dude! It was a great and interesting trip though; I'll definitely do it again, but when the bite's really on. A long trip and paddle compared to my usual weaselly 5 minute commute to Linda Mar!
Thanks again to everyone who guided me to the magic Duxbury... :smt004
