Trolled at Del Valle yesterday, fished mainly up by the dam.

Ended up with three: two nice beefy guys around 15" and one at 13".

Lots of traffic, I counted 50 powerboats in the area I was at.

Trolled a dodger with a nightcrawler.

All fish caught between 0900 and 1030.

I fished until around 1600.  Got a few more hits but nothing stuck.

It was cold and windy all day.

WYG Dan. I was monitoring the VHF chatter at DV from SC that day and they were picking a lot up on grubs fished naked which means some trout were on the surface. Pat - see you at the dam saturday morningm :-)

Good going on the trout DanMan. BTW, how much line did you have out there
while you were trolling with the dodger\crawler setup?

I caught the fish at 30 ft and 50 ft out.

With a flasher, that's only about 10 - 15 ft deep.

I metered many fish in deep water (90 feet or so) suspended at 35-50 ft, but they would not bite for me.

All my fish were caught in close to shore, in 20 - 50 ft of water right up close to the shoreline.

Once I started catching fish a lot of the powerboat moved in close.

Seems to be the pattern of the Del Valle fish and power boaters. Thanks for the report.
