Launched @ 1500 and water was low.  Came to a narrow section of the slough and worked the walls on both sides to find this 2-3lb.  Went down stream and worked the channel edges with no luck.  The water was too low at the bottom pocket so went back upstream to work the upper pocket.  Finally, the top water action was on.  All 4 blowups held on for couple seconds but I couldn't stick'em with my medium fast action worm rod.  Seems like all of those fish were bitting within a 40 minute time frame before water came up all the way.  Loaded the car @1900 just before the sunset.

Jigs and topwater, good times.  I could see a shallow bass going for topwater right now.  Maybe a popper or frog worked really slow?

Me too, can't wait for it to warm up more so it is the norm.  What TW technique got their attention?

I'm afraid if I tell you everyone will know.  But if I don't tell then eventually someone will find out soon or later and that person will tell another and another.  All I can say is that it's soft plastics.
