With my favorite kayak now patched ( To read how I put a hole in ithttp://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,16392.0.html)  I went to Folsom lake to see if my welds would leak and maybe catch a fish or two.  I launched at rattlesnake bar and paddled up the north fork of the American.  The welds held without a leak, but I didn't catch anything.

Folsom lake was very low, the lowest i have seen it in years.  I did not bring the camera, as I half expected to be swamped.

Me too.  Though I am proficient with an arc welder, plastic welding was completely new to me.  I was terrified putting a torch to the yak.

That welding would make me sweat.
