I put in @ CUTTings wharf aroud1:00 and paddled upstream 500 yrds ,tossed  out a bunch of ghost for 3 hours,nothing.I was told by a couple of friends that its been red hot,but around a mile downstream.I didnt want to fight current coming back witha monster on my lap.Have to think how to launch closer or where?A 49 incher was caought @ dock where I launched

Sorry to hear it was a slow day fishing for you. I was thinking of fishing out there and trying to time the tide so I could ride the outgoing and then ride the incomming back upstream to the launch hopefully with a fish :smt007

They caught one at the dock, the "hot spot" was 1 mile "downstream"...  Sounds like you were in the right place.  Keep trying!  Solution for the anticipation of paddling back with a sack o' meat on your lap:  just photo/video and release.   :smt002
