I have the Scrambler XT and the two rod holders are behind me. I'm going to install one in front of me on the right side. Has anyone here done this on the scrambler and if so do you have any pics or tips on placement? Any help greatly appreciated.

Here you go, I put one on each side and two behind the seat.

You just have to make sure they clear the footrests if my memory serves me right. That yak is not in my possession anymore.

Here is my old XT. Not the best pic. I had the two behind the seat (this was taken before I added them) but they took the place of that deck eye (just behind the seat back). I put another two flush mounts way up front. The worked well for trolling (with the rods in front) since the paddle stroke was clear. They were a bit far fwd for bait fishing. I have long arms so I could reach them (but just barely). So I mounted two scotty flush mounts right in front of the handles. If I had to do it over I would go with a set of flush mounts in the back for trolling and a RAM mount (or two, one on each side). I would place them just about where the last K is in "KAYAK". The tube style RAM mounts are the ones I am taking about.
