I'm planning a trip up to Muir for salmon on Saturday or Sunday, although big swells are headed our way...Any takers?

the blakestah http://www.blakestah.com doesn't have it too big.

4-5 foot 8-10 second period windswell from 320 might feel big @ muir tho, but it won't make it around pigeon point. Anything south of pigeon point on saturday should not be an issue.

Note that there is a small south for this sunday. could shutdown the shallow bite in santa cruz.

Also note that dave is forecasting a BIG south later next week, also a real north swell from a typhoon gone extra tropical.

the 15 and 16 of september look like days for the surfers.

Cool, with someone else there, I'll feel much more incentive! Let me know your plans as the day draws nearer...

My neighbor came home from dux yesterday w/ 2 25# hogs. Their boat got 5 limits, 8 of them pigs. If the water allows it, GO! I can't unfortunately.

Are you guys still going on Sunday?  The seas are looking rough.  If you are going, I would like to join, so can you please tell me time and location info?  Otherwise I will probably go to Tomales or Bodega.

I am probably going to bail...the seas look too crappy. If I go, it will be at Muir Beach. It's a nicer launch than Bolinas IMO...plus there's some nice rocky shoreline there that might hold some fish...
