The 6th San Francisco Ocean Film Festival is coming this week, beginning with an Opening party Thursday (2/19) at the Aquarium of the Bay, and then films on Friday-Sunday at Fort Mason's Cowell Theater (2/20-22).  Tickets and film schedules and descriptions are available at http://oceanfilmfest.org

Films are $10/program - a Festival pass, good for all 9 programs, is $60.

Short kayaking films will be screened Friday and Saturday evenings.  A special program on sharks is scheduled for Saturday, Feb 21, at 1:00 PM.  Attendance at the Festival has grown rapidly and we invite your participation.

The shark films look amazing, I'd love to see them.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised, that a film festival with the ocean as it's theme does not have any features related to sportfishing. Very little related to commercial fishing as well.

I think this falls under the sport/commercial fishing umbrella.  Small feel good propaganda piece for the masses.
