Tried our luck again at the OAP for some sturgeon action. The only thing that we
caught was endless bat ray one after another. We even tried to move from one
spot to another but it was all the same. I guess it is time to abort this place and
look for another fishing spot. Perhaps it's time to visit the lakes for some AOTY
points. Sorry no pictures, I couldn't reach the camera inside the yak.

It was a calm and beautiful day on the water. Very fishy conditions, nice current, and little to no wind.
Launched out at 630, I had the whole OAP all to myself. Paddled out to the area where SCAllen hooked his sturgeon. Landed 2 rays, starry, & bullhead. PBers started showing up to my area around 8am.

9am hooked what I thought was another ray turned out to be a small sturgeon. Brought him to the yak fast no need to release anchor. Measured my fish up he happened to be legal at 47". Back to the drink he went to grow bigger. Called Jedmo and told him to get his butt out there now cuz the bite was on.......NOT.

It was Bat Ray City after that. I landed 10 to 12 rays including a baby shark. Atleast we werent bored the rays kept us pretty busy.

Gonna give OAP a break fished that area about 15 times in the month of January. Think I may move back into the Delta.

Good job fellas. OAP has produced a lot of fish this year but, I think that it's been hammered. May be time to look for greener pastures. Happy hunting...

Way to get out on the water, Jedmo, and way to go on the C&R, Ariel.  Some action's better than no action.   :smt001
