Martins Beach?

  Anyone fish Martins beach lately?  I know there is deep water real close to the shore, and my dad used to fish there all the time back in his days.  Just wondering how the place is doing, costs, etc...  I think my friend & I might fish there this sunday.   Plan so far is, 2 poles one heavy for launching far out, sticking in the sand and one light one for surf perch.  Squid for bait and I have plastics for the surf. 
  Looking for any intel on the place.

Never been there, but I heard talk about Martins beach access being severely limited...  You can't get the by land without crossing private property, supposedly.

  I've been there, but not to fish, (was exploring the beaches up the coast) The access to the beach is easy, you do pass by many residences on the way down.  I think there is a fee to pay for either parking and or fishing. I don't remember what the cost is though.  Once down though by the office, I recall there was a very long beach!

What I mean to say is I think it's no longer open to the public.  There was a thread on the stripersonline forum about it...

Technically all beaches are open to the public, but the owner of the surrounding land closed the access road, or something like that?

  Just read up on that forum you posted, and it seem like driving to the beach now is not doabale.  I'm not to much into hiking in that far in my waders.  That sucks!  Maybe we'll hit HMB beach where tailwalk just cleaned up?
