thank you for the invite but please learn from my mistakes.  hold these special places more dear and share with those you can trust.
it is usually those who have not taken the time to locate prime waters who are so in favor of projects like this.
report responsibly

I am not too worried about "my" prime waters, since most people are too lazy to get to them.  But if you don't want your spots mapped, I can appreciate that.  If someone were to invite me to a secret spot, I wouldn't betray their generosity.  This project is strictly for people who want to share information with other fishing fanatics.

Here is my absolute favorite fishing spot on Earth:  Little Kern creek near the Little five lake basin.  It is a minimum 25 mile walk from any road, much of it without a trail.  The golden,cut-throat and hybrid trout fishing there is phenomenal.  If you are there and see a gregarious blond fat dude, Ill cook you some trout Hemingway.  Have fun crossing Black Rock pass.

So, let's see...I'll give you the "usually"...but i do take exception here.  I've found  loads of "prime" spots for the fish i like to pursue over the last 10 years or so of yak fishing...suprisingly many of those spots never get "blown up" even though they are right here in our backyard within easy paddle, AND i post the locales.
Different folks have different reasons for wanting projects like this. To say that its because they are too lazy to find their "own" prime waters is BS.

I don't see this project as anything different than the reports, and I am sure you know my view on those-- if you are reporting to the public, then you are either trying to help others find a decent spot, or you are simply bragging.
