I gave my Laotian neighbor an abalone and she brought back some of this wonderful salad that she made with it.  Sort of reminds me of Ceveche on fire.  She said it's just a little spicy...  :smt010 yeah right...

I'm not sure of the quantities of each ingredient, but here is a list of ingredients if you want to take a stab at it.

1 abalone pounded whole and sliced very thinly (raw).
Cilantro
Mint
Lime juice
A little sugar.
Sliced tomatoes.
Asian Cucumber (?) sliced thinly
A bit of chile pepper
Green onions
A bit of Thai fish sauce.

Good eats!!!

Ya... that's pretty much what I said when she brought it over.  

Abalone is good currency... that's for sure.
