Berryessa Feb 3

Launched from Capell Cove at about 9:00, paddled to two rocky points - never made it to the main lake. Caught 3 bass in the 2-3 lb range on minnows, lost a fourth at the boat. The bites were unbelievably soft, but they fought well. They seem to be feeding. The first one I caught almost coughed up a crawdad - it's claw was reaching almost out of the fishes mouth.
Great weather after the sun came up, almost nobody else out there - maybe because it was 27 degrees in the morning???!! Off the water at 2:30. Good times. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Yeah, let's see that crawdad pic.  Did you mean February 3rd?
