Yuba River (non-yak)

Got skunked the first two times out this year with the yak so I hit the Yuba off hwy 20 for some fly fishing.  Fished all day and finally caught this nice 19 incher on a dry stone fly pattern.  Made for a great day!!!

There are plenty of times that I feel I have a better chance at a fish w/o putting my boat in the water.  AOTY has pushed me to try to overcome that little obstacle of practicality most of the time.     There's something about angling from the yak that makes the experience really special, but sometimes the shore-toss can't be beat.
