Allen post spurred me to get up to the Hatchery I've been there a lotta times but never for the egg taking. Pretty cool it was packed every Thursday 10:30. They hadn't updated the fish counter but I snuck a look at the clip board and it said 350 fish with about another 350 in the raceway not ready to spawn. After me and Kayak dog took a walk and we saw quite a few fish below the Hatchery and this pair that appeared to be spawning under the bridge. Then we went up to the lake and it looked great talked to a Basscar Guy who said he did really well. I guess I'll have to go tomorrow afternoon. Stopped at the river on the way back and it is dropping fast and should be fishable Sunday just in time for another storm :smt013 Here is a few photos

Those are great shots Mike. Big trout points for one of those big fish. They have to be the biggest bang for points out of all trout. Also the dog looks quite content to sit there and do photo op for you. Great pic.

I might meet you up there and fish the lake after if the storm doesn't muddy it up. I was up there today just trolling and caught 8 12/13" SMB didn't really stop and fish anywhere it was so nice I just trolled up to the camp and back. I saw the catfish that ate the basket ball. The bass are still really sluggish but pretty fat. Wind really kicked up on the way back 1 mph  :smt002 Still snow on Helena
