Delta Stripers in January

Delta bite back on!

Tried for dinos on the outgoing, they were around but no hookups, few shorts on the bank. Windy as hell! but worth it!

Right on, I haven't seen one of those in a while.  Looks to be at least 23", very nice.  Were you soaking bait or plugging?

Just shy of 26"  I had shad, mack, herring, but got it tolling a deep diving broken back plug slow through torrent water. Others hooked up with rattle traps (shad pattern).

Another OC on the water with a beautiful fish. Does a heart good to see.I have never fished over in the delta. Whereabouts do you fish? I would like to try it sometime for stripers.You guys that can get out during the week are so lucky. Without the weekenders like me.I have to look for more delta hookups and do it.

I love seeing a striper being caught from the Sloughy Delta  
It gives SERIOUS hope and just plain good to see they are still coming and going!
