Just ordered my Kokatat Angler Paddling Suit

T3 SuperNova Angler Paddling Suit
Placed a special order from California Kayak and Canoe.  600 bones + the governators fee.  Did anyone go to the sports show and see if Kokatat was represented?  I didn't, and I'm going to kick myself if I could have got a better deal!  Still, can't wait to get it so I get out fishing again on bad weather days....

I'm very new to the game...why go for a suit over the standard gear?  Just wondering if I should make this kind of investment up fornt.

It's a matter of personal choice.  You can do some searching and find discussions on wet vs dry suits, also 2 piece vs full suits. 

I wanted to stay DRY and warm, and thought a suit would be more comfortable and have the best integrity.

Don't think so. I believe it's good to 20 feet, but for diving you really need a dry suit, this is just a paddling suit.  I don't know all the technical stuff on the differences.

The neck is not sealed like a diving suit.  It is awesome on cold days.  The Tempest jacket/pant combo is also awesome and very versatile, and less $ if the dry suit is too much.
