i had tried many home depot and ace hardware stores and non of them had this item in stock.  i was told that the item was discontinued.
i bought mine from the following oiline site:

the shipping charge costs more than the product though.

Some Home Despots do have them but they're not consistent among locations.
WalMart also has them if you're near one.

I don't mean to thread jack but just want to remind folks to use snares "sparingly" - if there's any chance the fish is not legal size or you plan on releasing it anyway, please don't use a snare or handle the fish too much. Snares can cause internal damage and, of course, we want released fish to survive.

i picked up a cupple yesterday at walmart
