Fished a new area of the delta today.  Got to the new (to me) spot about an hour and a half early, and ended up not finding the launch in all the fog and darkness.  Oh well, on to plan B.
Jump back on the highway and follow back up directions to another spot.  I guess I wasn't paying attention when I wrote them down, because I ended up at a completely different spot than where I thought I'd end up at.  I followed my directions to the T, so I guess plan B was really plan C?
Anyway, not a whole lot was going on.  I was trying to get the jig action working, but I'm not quite there yet.
A little striper saved me from a skunk.  A lipless crank bounced along the bottom on the retrieve was the ticket.

It's cool when plan B turns into plan C and it actually works out for some time on the water.  That's a pretty fish.   :smt001

Being an honorable sportsman is way more important than what you catch.

Way to grind out a positive trip.  I hate when crap like that happens and takes away from fishing time.  Like rolling up on a marina and seeing 20 bass boats lined up to launch for a tournament.

Not bad for plan C - that fish may not be huge, but it's fat, shiny & healthy! Nice goin'.
