I just picked up an Avet sx today and am at a loss as to what to pair it with so I am looking for a recommendation. I plan to use this as my primary rod that will be used for everything from rock fish, halibut, ling, and Sturgeon but I really do not fish for the latter all that much. I am hoping to keep the price below $200.00 if possible.

What do you guys use? Do you like fiberglass or Graphite?

TIA for your help!

RB

I've got my SX paired with a Shimano Trevala and really like it. For $99 it's well under your max price. It's also quite light and comfortable to hold all day.

I also have the same set up as Fishin-Jay and ewb. I love mine especially for the
rock fish season. Very light and you can go all day holding that combo in your
hand without the strain in your shoulder after a while.
