First off I apologize for no Pics,  I have been meaning to get a New digital but have yet to do so.

The Perchin is really picking up IMHO. I went two weeks ago and only caught a handfull of 4-6".  Yesterday was a good day. I got to the beach at 6:30 to an incoming tide. I  stopped counting fish after about a dozen and had several fish in the 10-12" range, I still haven't seen any of the 15-17 inchers but I'll take the former any day.  I was using Gulp camo and motor oil w/ red flake sand worms.  there were 30+ people out there fishing.  The guadelupe dunes are south of the pismo and oceano dunes, hopefully next time i can get some pics.  Majority were barred with a few walleye mixed in.  I'm thinkin about going to southern most end of the pismo dunes next saturday if Any one is interested. i will post in the hookups if I go.

Glad to hear you got some perch.  Were you on a yak, or surf casting?  I've done well there for perch surf casting sand crabs.  I don't get down there often, only when visiting the folks.  I'll keep you in ind next time I'm on the coast.

Haven't seen you around in a while, Dogpound.  Sounds like a good time.  I doubt he was in a yak, Bryan, but I'd sure like to see a yak-perchin' report.  Oh yeah, bobbin' in the surf targetting surf-fish.  Someone's gotta do it.  It's on my list, and you know Domenic will do it.   :smt003

Nice! I love perch fishing even from shore! We only get Redtails up here but they get huge.

Nice job on the slabs down there. Those guys are great eating. I remember getting real lunkers down that way years ago... haven't been back since.

Thanks Fellas'

yes Abking is right i definitely was shore casting, I would love to fish just outside the surf but getting out on a yak down there anywhere from pismo on south along that stretch seems darn near impossible, at least without swimming.

Thanks for noticing Abking, I just bought my first house down here in orcutt so for the past several months fishing and internet time has taken a back burner, but we're finally getting settled so I'm trying to catch up.  It was the greatest feeling to get a house but I was jonesing hard to fish.
