I got three good hits, driving my hooks deep, up come these two guys! :smt012
the third was a standard-sized MudMarlin(not pictured) I thought i had a Real_one, but it was just his ShovelNose, shoveling deep into the mud, making me think it was theRightKind...NOT!

EnterCompanyLineHere: It was great to be out on the water with such a fine group of Kayak Anglers. :smt044

pic3~ my co-worker has been lurking, he hunted me down out there, then he and his buddy each got one, from the EXACT spot NorthernBoy had just vacated had .......damned lurkers!

Hey Adam that looks like a skate (not a shovelnose)? Skates are good eats! I'm glad those guys hooked up, they helped me out measuring my undersize (I was sure I packed the tape measure. I was wrong).

Thanks all you guys.

1st things 1st.

Adam-FISHUNTER!!! i am so sorry my fingers typed the wrong handle, chalk it up to fatigue and major adrenaline come down effects.  I was so stoked to see you guys on the beach when I came in.  Looks like you all had a nice time and the water got even calmer than when i was out there.

Man, i gota go back to that spot and SOON!!

Jedmo, your chicken bun sandwich is what did the trick.  I just got done eating that thing, it was so good, when I gotthe taps.  I'm chalking it up to arcane E Bay chicken sacwich luck somehow.

I cleaned the rod pod as well as I could last night, even put a little bleach in thtere and swished it around.  hope i got all the nasty out.  You gotta admit though, that's a cool place to hold  a big'un.  It took both hands and a few grunts to get that fish out. Thanks to Tailwalk and Ariel also for being part of the crew, a lotta expertise out there kep me confident.  Chuck and Steve of course, are almost as stoked as me, they've been watching me NOT catch sturgeon for years now.

Eric Kunz thans for the congrats, it means a whole lot coming from you.  I'm convinced a sturgeon can fight more than this one.  She sort of offered herself up to me.  the fight was pretty quick i think 2 or 3 big runs, then she sort of gave up, went vertical at the boat.

Freddy- dude that video of you has kept me ispired for so long, and your recent succeses made me know i had to go and I had to go NOW while the bite is hot.  So much of success in fishing is being in the right place at the right time, isn't it?

So, thank you my brothers, I am at peace for now.  Eating Sturgeon sweet and sour tonight.

Allen

Man, I am sore all over from yesterday. I had to call in from work this morning. I
just couldn't get up at all what so ever. Maybe it is the after effect of the whole
experienced catching a sturgeon on a kayak. Here are some more pictures.
