Looking to introduce a friend to spearfishing. Saturday 1/31. Anyone else up for diving? Conditions look doable.

Hi Brian:

I might be able to come meet up with you guys, or if anything, just go out for a paddle and watch your rigs as you poke around below.  I need to scare up a hood, but otherwise i'm good gearwise.  Keep me posted.

There s/b really good conditions this wknd. Here's the forecast for inside the Bay.
SAT
N WINDS 5 KT. WIND WAVES 1 FT OR LESS.
NW SWELL 2 TO 5 FT.

And high tide is at 1:30 but it's only a 3.5ft.

While fishing off the rocks nearby last wknd, I observed excellent visibility too. So hopefully the great weather holds.
Good luck!

PM me for those that are interested in diving my access to the board will be limited during the week. There are a couple of other dive spots that have been recommended to me so location might change.

Are you all on kayaks? Might be able to make it sunday but no kayak here. Is Carmel beach 'carmel river beach' or Monestary?

Thanks for the offer. Is that like riding bitch?  :smt001  I don't even need to paddle? This is my first time ever spearfishing and have never been on a kayak either so I think I might try to do a shore dive first so I don't ruin your folks day.

I have a question. With a group of people how do you safely spearfish in low vis, do you take care not to be shooting around other divers? Do you alternate diving with a buddy or just kind of each go off your own way? I know when I went ab diving everyone said you're crazy to do it alone but once in the water we might as well all have been diving alone. I'm not complaining, had the time of my life, just making an observation.

thanks!

-Sean
