roll on bedliner

I am going to put a roll on or spray on liner in my kayak/expedition trailer. The trailer is an 8 foot truck bed. Has anyone used the do it yourself Herculiner roll on kit? It seems to get pretty good reviews. One summer of kayaks dripping salt water into my trailer has made me realize it needs protection. 

I used an air cured paint on liner from Duraback when I did the interior of an old bronco and it worked great. I used a very rough roller provided with the kit. It was MESSY though.
Recently I tried some Duplicolor spray on bedliner for some mirrors, and a grill of another truck, and I was pleased with that too.

2 years ago I applied the Herculiner System to my S-10 bed and it has met my expectations. Given the cost of the Herculiner kit compared to the commercial spray-on options, it is well worth the work. My only suggestion, make sure you apply it in GOOD lighting. I did it in my garage to keep it clean between coats and the lighting was subpar, end result had a few light spots that I never saw. One other watchout, my truck is light tan, if you have a dark color you may have more difficulty ensuring an even application.

I ordered the Herculiner kit in gray and it should be here next week. The black is cheaper than the other colors but I didn't want a bed that would get so hot I couldn't walk on it barefoot. I had a crossbed toolbox in the trailer but it was rusted pretty bad. I didn't like giving up bed space either. I think I'm going to use a tongue mounted toolbox and may some sidemounted toolboxes.

The final project isn't completely planned out yet but it will be done for the may 15th rockfish opener!!!!!!!!!

I went with black at the time because they were offering a $25 rebate off the gallon kit. Good luck with the install.
