That's a fantastic idea! Please post another pic when they're hanging.

One note: I don't know if you have pets or small kids around your place but both show a great interest in the ornaments on the lower branches so you might want to keep the hooks well above their reach.

Yes... great idea.  You could also personalize them and give them as gift ornaments. 

I think my dad still has a pocket fisherman in his closet.  Nice!

Hook bonnets, from Cabellas, but I couldn't find ones big enough for those honkin big ones on top.  I have a bunch of old rod n reels too, some 100 yrs old, all perfect eyes still. A super-old fly reel that I was told is a museum piece. Ill post some pics.
