I trolled around the island then fially ended up in HMB, where I stayed the rest of the day. Caught the first fish on a gold Kastmaster and the last three on R/B grub. Tried my downrigger out but the fish down deep wouldn'y bite so I top lined the rest of the day.Missed four other fish, just couldn't get the devel fish! Three planters and the fourth was 2.10lbs.

Kayaks brought in by cartop method are $2 to launch at all east bay lakes, I believe.  Plus inspection, which is $4 or 7?  Good for 30 days, (you get inspected each time but only pay once if you keep your yellow copy).

I think they got 2000 lbs last week, should be a good time to fish it.

There is also a $6 parking fee.  Unless you get a yearly pass.  I got one this year and I think it was $65 of non-resident.  Resident of the county is around $50.  But, you can used it for Quarry Lakes, Del Valle, Shadow Cliffs and a few more lakes.

Hey Bill great meeting you today and you faired much better than I did. I trolled just about everything in my box to no avail. Found a submerged tree opposite side of HMB and marked a lot of fish. I had no senkos or bass gear so tried jigging Rooster tails and picked up 1 small LMB. Other wise it was a beautiful day on the water to just paddle and listen to tunes.
