Forecast turned a little for Tue so I wasn't sure what to expect.

Lots and lots of gophers most others were reluctant, the fog kept me at the kelps edge most of the day, I could hear the PBs moving around out there and while I had GPS and compass, they only tell me where I'm at so I figured I'd stay out of their way. Fog lifted around noon, went out, caught a ling, then the wind started to blow, of course by the time I got back in the wind and fog were pretty much gone.

 Pics tell the story

1, Post card shot
2, launch
3, Gutsy lil dude
4, not as smooth as yesterday
5, catch
6, did clear up, wind died down

Great pics Dale. Pretty brave going out in the fog alone. I guess that is the way it goes sometimes if you need to satisfy that craving.

Fog or not, any day on the ocean is just,,,,,,

As soon as I got home from this trip I called the GF, had 3 more days off, so of course bright and early the next day I'm off again for some trailer camping and wine tasting, and some great food.

Solo trip?? yeah with the forecast conditions I couldn't believe I was the only yak out there, but as far as I know I was and I do go alone allot,

Let's see, wetsuit, pfd, vhf, gps, compass, written float plan left on the kitchen table, and at least one phone call to a real person telling them where I'm going and when to expect me back,  yeah, solo trips are OK.

haven't gotten to dive since late sept, and these days I don't have the energy to do both in one day combined with the drive,  getting weak I guess, but I'll do better next year....always looking forward,,,
