Looking to get out for the first time since BAM IV. :smt009   I've thrown out an invite to a few friends and family including my boss and my brother & father-in-law.

I know most of the OGs will be at Lake Sonoma for the weekend but I've only got a day and want to maximize my fishing time otherwise I'd be there with them.

Will be targeting stripers and trout, rain or shine!  I plan on being on the water by 7 am.

Company welcome, channel 69 on the VHF!

Michael

Scott, looking forward to hooking up.  I could do a shore lunch but if it's just us 2, maybe we should keep it simple?  Lets wait and see how it shakes down.

As for the new spot, you've piqued my interest.  Is it a place to eat or fish?

Nope, I've got more respect than that.  I meant Original Gangsta's, as in the father's of the site.  I make no bones about it, I can't hang with the die-hards.  I like to think I can but I wouldn't be fooling anybody.

Michael -

It is a fishing place. I will bring some tackle for you to try. BTW, no competition for sure, no wild pigs at DV and we are supposed to be CHILLIN.  :smt005

Sorry to back out but I think I have more free time than I thought I was going to have this weekend so I'm going to try and make it to Lake Sonoma. I'm sure I'll see you guys out there again this year!  :smt006

Looks like work is going to not be as busy as I initially thought, so I'm planning on hitting Del Valle this Saturday too  :smt003

What time are you guys launching? I usually park in the 3rd lot, at the far end away from the launch and then just launch my yak from the beach right next to the parking lot.

Remember to have your yak clean and dry! I know a couple people have been turned away, and the last time I was there they let me launch, but they weren't pleased by the little bit of sand that was inside my hull, and that was maybe only a tablespoon! I'm taking the shop vac to the inside of my boat before I go this time  :smt002

BTW, I don't think they start boat inspections until 7:00 am. But, maybe I'm wrong?

Have you seen GB2's "simple" shore lunches?!  Scott's a serious :chef:, even on a man dog. :smt044

Would love to join, but got a firm event, then to monterey to bulk up WAF in advance of a hail mary cod trip over turkey weekend.  Good luck!!

I'm out! :smt009   Received some very sad news that a friend went into pre-term labor and the little guy didn't make it. :smt010  :smt010  :smt010   I'm doing the right thing and going to support the family.

Peace brothers & sisters and leave some for the rest of us.

BTW, big-ups to Scott/GB2 for having his extra yak loaded and ready to go for my friend to use tomorrow - what a standup guy.  You embody what NCKA is all about.  Thanks again.

Michael

Thanks FF.  Yeah, it was terribly sad.  Simply put, they shouldn't have to make coffins that small.

The way I see it, there are plenty of fish in the sea - or lake in this case - and going fishing would have only haunted me later.
