I backed my spool tension knob way off. then cast. my spool tension
knob flew into the ocean. hasn't really bothered me too much, but
I know something else is next.

what is the least hassle-intensive way of obtaining parts for abu?

Alan Tani can take care of it for you.  He made my beat down Abus better than new.

find the schematic to match your reel, call them with the reel in hand to read the # off the reel seat, and they will probably send you a cap for free.

i also have several that will probably match.  i live a mile south of the fisherman's warehouse in san jose.  e-mail me at [email protected] and i will check and let you know.  alan
