Get the professional model if you go with a Foodsaver.

You may also want to pick up some extra containers off of ebay or some where else.  They do come in handy.  We use our food saver daily, we keep stuff like cheese, onions, lettuce, sealed in a hard container take out what you need and stick it back in and zapp it.  I have a block of some really good parmasean that is over a year old that has shown no signs of mold.  I just pull it out grate what I need and throw back and seal it.

You are very welcome Clyde!  I'm going to try and make it out for the tourney this weekend.  I'll know more near the end of the week.

I'm a really big fan of the Ziplock reusable vacuum sealer bags.

The pump only costs $5, and the bags themselves aren't prohibitively expensive.

For somebody like me who hardly catches any fish worth saving, I think it works out better to use the more expensive bags, but a much cheaper vacuum unit.
